Our Managing Director, Ashty Aladin, founded LANO with the aim of supporting the buergoning Kurdish Iraqi economies on their road to recovery.

The prosperity experienced across the country has filtered through many industries, including those that LANO has become central to.

With an initial focus on Higher Education, we have, to date, placed over 3000 students in international educational institutions spanning 4 continents.

LANO has established an extensive network enabling universities and colleges access to an academically rich country and their respective administrative bodies and ministries.

LANO has begun a new chapter in its history recognising the significant growth potential of the Iraqi Oil and Gas sector.

In-line with the industry’s ambitious production targets, LANO has utilised its extensive public and private sector networks to represent international oilfield service firms. As the local partner, we provide business development and marketing activities in a market traditionally associated with high-entry barriers and both commercial and political volatility.

LANO aims to become the guiding light for companies that recognise the potential of Iraq and Kurdistan Region and wish to participate in its prosperity.
